What is the RBI?
The RBI is the principal investigative arm of the Romance Fiction Department of Justice.

What is the mission of the RBI?
The mission of the RBI is to investigate novels of the Romance genre and notify the public of any glaring violations of taste, characterization and/or word choice. Plus, it validates our reading of romance novels.

When was the RBI founded?
On October 18, 2008, aspiring romance novelist Drusilla von Drake decided that she should publish reviews of all the novels she had read and enjoyed (or not). Plus, there are standards to uphold, the RBI would like to point that out.

Who is the head of the RBI?
The RBI is headed by a Director who is appointed by the members of the RBI. The current Director of the RBI is ‘The Director’.

How is the RBI organized?
The RBI is headquartered in an undisclosed part of California. If there are more people who wish to do some reviews, then we will start having more ‘field offices’.

How many people are employed by the RBI?
Since there is no exchange of money, they’re not technically ‘employed’. Currently, we have five agents.

Is the RBI a type of romance police force?
No. The RBI is an investigative component of the Romance Fiction Department of Justice. We tell you what is up, we can’t make people listen or do what we say.
